The Evil Within gets new gruesome death scenes info

The Evil Within wouldn’t be much a survival-horror videogame without some truly gruesome death scenes. The new project from Resident Evil mastermind Shinji Mikami got rated by the ESRB and deservedly got an M. Part of the info provided is based on how enemies and character are killed.

For a gameplay standpoint, you can impale, dismember and decapitate in order to kill the humanoid creatures. Some of the areas should also re-enforced that you are in fact playing a survival-horror videogame with blood splatters and mutilated bodies that have insides hanging out. The violence is also depicted in the cutscenes with kids being burned alive and a man losing his head on a guillotine.

The Evil Within is the first project with Tango Gameworks, a company founded by Shinji Mikami. They decided to sign a publishing deal with Bethesda Softworks, the corporation best known role-playing games like Elder Scrolls and Fallout. The Evil Within is available on the 14th of October on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC, just in time for gamers looking to play a scary game at Halloween.
