This is a role-playing game in which players lead adventurers through dangerous events known as the Aegis War. Players traverse through the world of Alrest, interact with characters, complete quests, and battle fantasy creatures (e.g., beasts, giant insects, robotic armor) and human enemies in melee-style combat. Players use magic spells and melee attacks (e.g., sword slashes, punches, kicks) to deplete enemies’ health meters. Battles are accompanied by slashing sounds and colorful light effects.
Cutscenes depict additional acts of violence: villagers killed by large laser blasts; a character killed by poison. Some female characters wear outfits that expose large amounts of cleavage; in one sequence, a boy is depicted pinching a female character’s buttocks. The word “sh*t” appears in the game.
