Standalone Vita 2000 slim model gets post Black Friday U.S. release date and packaging

It looks like Sony is planning to release a Vita 2000 slim model as a standalone product in the United States after Black Friday. The new revision was previously released in the same region as a limited edition bundle that also includes a voucher to download Borderlands 2 and 8 GB memory card. Find the price of the standalone release right now on Amazon. A photo of the packaging can be seen below this paragraph.

The new standalone unit has the same MSRP as the Borderlands 2 Limited Edition PlayStation Vita Bundle. So it definitely looks like Sony is going to be replacing the limited edition bundle very soon. If you want to get the best value, it may be best to buy the system bundled with the videogame and 8 GB memory card right now with this link before it sells out.

For the uniformed, the Vita 2000 slim model is slimmer and lighter weight when compared to the first model. It also replaces the OLDE screen with a LCD one for better or worse. Last but not least, it also boasts a slightly longer battery life. According to Amazon, the standalone release is going to come out on the 12th of December.
