It looks like Sony will be letting more participants in the Bloodborne alpha test than originally reported. A fan discovered that around 10,000 gamers will be able to get into the testing phase in Japan. That number doubles the previously-reported figure of 5,000.
To be a part of the alpha test, you will need a Japanese Sony Entertainment Network account and be a member of PlayStation Plus. A special digital ticket can then be acquired on the Sony Entertainment Network Store. This does not completely guarantee you access as the participants will get chosen from the pool of eligible gamers. The alpha test is going to be brief as participants can only try out the videogame from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. locally on 1st, 3rd and 5th of October.
From Software is using the opportunity to test out the network infrastructure and other online features. The development studio has been handing out beta invites to gamers in other regions as well even though an official start date hasn’t been announced for territories other than Japan.
Bloodborne is available in the United States on the 6th of February in both standard and limited edition forms. If you haven’t already, preorder the action-RPG right now by clicking on this link.
