It looks like Resident Evil Origins Collection may be getting a collector’s edition in the west. Amazon recently put up the product pages for the “Standard Edition” of the compilation, suggesting that there may be a premium version coming out as well. You can check out the listings, and preorder if you are interested, with the following links from the shopping website: Resident Evil Origins Collection – PlayStation 4 Standard Edition and Resident Evil Origins Collection – Xbox One Standard Edition.
For the uninformed, Amazon previously suggested that Street Fighter V would be getting a collector’s edition months before Capcom would announce one. So there could be some credence towards Resident Evil Origins Collection getting a collector’s edition release as well. Not to mention that there is an e-Capcom Limited Edition of the game being sold in Japan as well.
Resident Evil Origins Collection comes with the HD remastered ports of both Resident Evil and the upcoming Resident Evil 0. The graphics have been bumped up to the native 1080p resolution with widescreen support. In Resident Evil 0, gamers can also play as Wesker.
The compilation will be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One early next year in the North American region on the 19th of January.
