Physical disc version of The Talos Principle listed for PlayStation 4 with release date

It looks like The Talos Principle will be available as a physical disc on the PlayStation 4. Amazon has listed a preorder page for the port with Nighthawk Interactive as the publisher in addition to a release date set for the 25th of August in North America. If you are interested, you can preorder the PS4 game from the retailer with this link. (Update: You can also find what appears to be the box art below). The Talos Principle was first released for the PC, Linux and OS X platforms on the 11th of December of last year. The game came from the minds of Croteam, the developer behind the first-person shooting Serious Sam series.

The Talos Principle is a different type of game from the studio as it focuses on solving puzzles, over 120 total, instead of shooting enemies. Gamers will control a robot who woke up at a mysterious place. By exploring the land, they will learn more about the game’s world.

The PC version ended up being a critical hit with a Metascore of 85. If you are a fan of puzzles, especially ones that take place from a first-person perspective (a la the Portal series), you should definitely check out The Talos Principle on the PlayStation 4 when it launches if you haven’t played the PC version.
