The U.S. release date has been listed by Amazon for the upcoming Nyko Type Pad. According to the shopping website, the add-on accessory for the Xbox One Wireless Controller is coming out on the 20th of October in the North American region. If you are interested, you can preorder the keypad with this link.
The accessory comes with the full QWERTY keyboard inputs so that you can easily input texts on the Xbox One. This should make chatting with friends, entering codes and searching for games more convenient. The other features include a green glow that will make it easier to see with little to no lighting, dedicated shortcut buttons in addition to an analog nub for navigation.
The Nyko Type Pad is attached to the bottom of the Xbox One Wireless Controller. With that said, it also comes with an USB dongle so that it can be connected to the system wirelessly. No batteries is needed for the accessory as it draws power from the gamepad.
At around the same general release time frame of the Nyko Type Pad, Microsoft will be releasing the official Xbox One Chatpad. So it should be interesting to see how the third-party accessory stacks up against the official first-party product.
