The software product is being developed by Kunos Simulazioni, a studio that previously worked on Ferrari Virtual Academy and other racing games. 505 Games will be publishing the PS4 and Xbox One ports.

The original PC version was first available via early access on the 8th of November in 2013. The full version would come out a year later on December 19, 2014. Assetto Corsa has been received very well as it got a lot of praise for detailed cars and streamlined handling.

The vehicle list includes Ferrari LA Ferrari, McLaren MP4-12C GT3, Pagani Zonda R and Team Lotus 98T. Notable race tracks are the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, Circuit de Spa-Franco champs, Nurburgring-Nordschleife and Silverstone Circuit.

The Xbox One has already gotten several first-party racing games (Forza Motorsport 5, Forza Horizon 2 and Forza Motorsport 6) while the PS4 is home to DriveClub and will be getting Gran Turismo Sport in the future.
