For the uninformed, Psycho Pass: Mandatory Happiness was developed by MAGES, the same studio behind the popular Chaos:Head, Robotic;Notes and Steins;Gate franchises. The upcoming game is based on the anime as it will cover the first season while adding additional back stories along with new world building info.

Gamers will be able to play as two characters: Nadeshiko Kugatachi and Takuma Tsurugi. As with other games in the same visual novel genre, the decisions you make during certain points of the story will result in branching paths and, ultimately, different endings.

NIS America will be releasing Psycho Pass: Mandatory Happiness later in 2015 on the 13th of September in the North American region. In addition to the PlayStation 4 console and PlayStation Vita handheld, the software product is also coming out for the PC platform.
