To accommodate the recent release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, which you can pruchase on Amazon with this link, Mad Catz is prepping for the launch of the Mad Catz Persona 4 Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition 2 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. You can check out a few photos from the company’s official web store below this paragraph.
The arcade fighting stick features a Vewlix-style layout that contains a Sanwa joystick in addition to Sanwa OBSF-30 action buttons (the same parts found in the arcade cabinets from Japan). It is advertised to provide tournament-grade accuracy and durability. The top panel comes with artwork based on the Persona 4 fighting games but can be easily removed to add your own custom plates.
In terms of features, you can set the joystick as the left analog, right analog or directional pad, opening it up as a controller option for games from other genres aside from fighting. You can also lock out any buttons that pause the gameplay so that you won’t be interrupted. Last but not least, the product has a “heavy metal base with durable foam padding” to prevent any slippage accidents.
The Persona 4 Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition 2 is going to be made available in January.
