Play Asia has put up a product page for the new Hori Fighting Commander, providing a first look at the product. You can check out the images of the fight pad below this paragraph. As you can see above, the new pad is quite different from the Fighting Commander 4 (you can check out the older version with this link on Amazon). For one, Hori opted for a symmetrical design for the new iteration. The company also removed the rotatable directional pad while moving the PS4/PS3 compatibility switch to the underside of the pad.
According to the Play Asia listing, the new Hori Fighting Commander will be made available for import starting on the 17th of December.
The PlayStation 4 already has some great fighting games with BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend, Guilty Gear Xrd Sign, Mortal Kombat X and Ultra Street Fighter IV. Of course, the current-gen console will also be getting the two highly anticipated sequels, Street Fighter V and Tekken 7, in the future as well. If you would like to play these games with a dedicated fight pad, you might want to check out the new Hori Fighting Commander (or the Hori Fighting Commander 4, if you don’t paying more to get more features).
