The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D saving system change mentioned in listing

3DS_ZeldaMajoras-Mask_1107_02Amazon.de may have revealed one of the unannounced changes being made to The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D. According to the listing, Nintendo is going to add new feather statues to go along with the original owl statues.

For the uninformed, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask uses an unique save system in which the only way to permanently save progress in the videogame is to play the Song of Time on your ocarina to restart the three day sequence. The above-mentioned owl statues are used for temporary saves where the data will be deleted once you load back in. The same sculptures also serve warping points for fast travel.

The new feather statues may be used as permanent save points so that the player no longer have to use the Song of Time and restart the three day sequence again in order to permanently record the data.

Of course, Nintendo is also making several other modifications to The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, including new textures, control options and tweaks to the gameplay. The remaster is coming out for the Nintendo 3DS later in 2015. You can preorder the upcoming Zelda game on Amazon.com with this link.
