Koei Tecmo explains why Toukiden Kiwami is worth purchasing on PS4 and Vita

Toukiden-Kiwami-2In a press release sent to us, Koei Tecmo provided a list of reasons as to why their latest product, Toukiden Kiwami is worth purchasing on PlayStation 4 and Vita. The company first stated that the game offers all of the content from the original Toukiden: The Age of Demons along with adding a bunch of extras. As a result, new and returning gamers can enjoy the experience.

If you own a copy of Toukiden: The Age of Demons, you can transfer your save data into both the PS4 and Vita versions of Kiwami. The upcoming game also support cross-save between the home console and portable releases. Check out the first part of Koei Tecmo’s statement below:

For its debut on PlayStation®4, Toukiden: Kiwami picks up the epic Toukiden story from the beginning, offering all of the content from the previously released Toukiden: The Age of Demons to introduce new players to its vast, demon-ridden world. Returning Slayers can discover the new Kiwami storyline or pick up where they left off by carrying their save data over from Toukiden: The Age of Demons to both platforms and enjoy a fresh experience with their hard-earned progress. Players will also enjoy cross-save functionality between the PlayStation®4 system and PS Vita versions of Toukiden: Kiwami.

Koei Tecmo also talked about cross-play, which allows PlayStation 4 and Vita gamers to play the videogame together. Toukiden: Kiwami supports up to four players (you can enlist the help of NPCs as well):

Toukiden: Kiwami includes an extensive, cross-play-enabled multiplayer mode, in which players on both systems will team up and slay Oni like never before. Players can battle Oni with a squad of up to four Slayers comprised of various NPCs or other players via online cooperative play.

Last but not least, the company also compared Kiwami to The Age of Demons, saying that the former is the “definitive Toukiden experience” due to the added content and improvements:

Almost double the size of the original game, Toukiden: Kiwami includes numerous additions that enrich the gameplay experience through new story and content. Featuring new Oni to battle, an extensive character creation mode, 300 fallen heroes (Mitama) whose rescued souls help strengthen the player’s team, and much more, developer Omega Force – creators of the renowned DYNASTY WARRIORS series – have aimed to make Kiwami the definitive Toukiden experience, offering updates and vast improvements to popular features requested by fans.

Toukiden Kiwami is available in Europe right now and will be released in the United States on the 31st of March. If you are interested, you can preorder the PS4 and Vita game on Amazon with this page.
