Intense violence, sexual content and more detailed for Berserk and the Band of the Hawk

The Entertainment Software Rating Board has revealed its rating summary for Berserk and the Band of the Hawk. The anime-based videogame ended up with a Mature rating as a result of blood, gore, intense violence, language, partial nudity and sexual content. You can check out the complete description of the action game below:

This is an action game in which players assume the roles of mercenary characters battling large armies in frenetic melee-style combat. From a third-person perspective, players use swords and magic attacks to kill dozens of enemy soldiers, demons, mutant animals, and trolls. Enemies are sent flying across the battlefield with each strike, and combat is highlighted by cries of pain and large blood-splatter effects. Some attack moves result in enemies bursting into limbs and body parts. Cutscenes sometimes depict characters getting stabbed in the eye, or sliced in the abdomen.

The game includes some suggestive/sexual material: characters with exposed breasts and/or buttocks(though nipples and genitalia are obscured); one scene depicts a man fondling a woman’s breast through her nightgown, as she moans loudly. The word “sh*t” appears in the dialogue.

Berserk and the Band of the Hawk is coming out on the 21st of February in the North American region. If you are interested, the physical PlayStation 4 version of the software product is available for preorder with this link.
