Mark Julio has provided an explanation in regards to the inclusions of an analog stick and triggers in the upcoming Mad Catz Street Fighter V FightPad Pro. The community and sponsorship manager from Mad Catz first stated that the triggers were included as some gamers do take advantage of these buttons in fighting games. With that said, the triggers can be remapped to other buttons. You can find his comments on the subject matter below:
@Hukwhirl we’re not forcing people to use triggers, besides, some people do use them. They can be remapped (in game) or on the fly (switch).

He went on to state that his company also included analog stick for the same reason:
@Hukwhirl just like most people don’t use an analog stick, but some do. We don’t want to negate having a function of the DS4. — Mark Julio (マークマン) (@MarkMan23) December 3, 2015
Last but not least, Mark Julio also said that, while Mad Catz do take in feedback from the fighting game community, they weren’t able to fulfill all the requests. If they do, the new controller will end up being a “crazy contraption.” Take a look at his statement below:
.@Hukwhirl lastly, we do take community feedback in mind. We aren’t able to fulfill every request. If we did, you’d see a crazy contraption.
