Hori Amiibo Collect and Display Case U.S. release pushed back

The U.S. release has been pushed back for the Hori Amiibo Collect and Display Case. According to an Amazon listing update, the product is now slated to arrive in North America on the 27th of July. The online retailer previously posted a release date set for July 13. So it looks like Hori decided to delay the case for two weeks. If you are interested, you can purchase the officially licensed item with this link from the online retailer.

The Amiibo Collect and Display Case is designed to shield the figurine from dirt and other damages. Hori also made it possible for gamers to scan the figurines with the Wii U GamePad and New Nintendo 3DSXL without having to take them out of the case. Last but not least, the product should fit all current and future Amiibos as it measures at 5 inches wide, 4.5 inches tall in addition to 4.5 inches deep.

Nintendo is doubling down on the Amiibo brand after selling a bunch of units since launching late last year. Along with finishing the rest of the Super Smash Bros. line (including those for DLC characters), the company recent released a trio of figures for Splatoon. They will also be launching Amiibos for Super Mario Maker and Yoshi’s Woolly World.
