The file sizes have been revealed for the Nintendo Switch versions of Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation. When viewed directly on the system, the listing on the eShop shows that the port of the very first game in the legendary JRPG series will take up 194 MB. Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line requires 296 MB while Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation needs 347 MB of free space.
The first three DQ games were first released for the Nintendo Entertainment System and have been ported to other platforms over the years. Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation will be released for the Nintendo Switch on Sept. 27, 2019, in the Japan and U.S. region.
In Japan, the games are also coming out for the PlayStation 4 on the same day. Square Enix has not announced a western release for the PS4 versions.
The latest game in the series, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age Definitive Edition, is also coming out on the same day for the Nintendo Switch. If you haven’t done so already, you can pre-order the 11th mainline installment of the series with this link from Amazon.
