ESRB’s Mature rating explained for Jagged Alliance: Rage

The Entertainment Software Rating Board has revealed its summary for Jagged Alliance: Rage. The strategy role-playing game ended up with a Mature rating due to contents categorized as Blood, Strong Language and Violence. You can find the full ESRB description of the multiplatform title below:

This is a strategy role-playing game in which players control a group of mercenaries trying to rescue civilians from an evil island leader. From an overhead perspective, players move characters around grid-like environments in turn-based battles against enemy soldiers. Characters can kill enemies using stealth (i.e., snapping necks), or by shooting them with various firearms (e.g., machine guns, sniper rifles). Characters cry out in pain when attacked, and successful gunshots are accompanied by brief puffs of blood. Blood also appears under wounded or killed characters. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the dialogue.

Jagged Alliance: Rage was developed by Cliffhanger Productions and will be published by THQ Nordic. The physical version of the game will be coming out on the 6th of November in the North American region. The digital release is set for the 27th of September.
