ESRB explains its Mature rating for Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot

The Entertainment Software Rating Board has revealed its summary for Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot for PC and PS4. The virtual reality game ended up with a Mature rating due to contents categorized as Blood and Gore, Strong Language in addition to Violence. This is a VR action game in which players assume the role of a hacker able to control Nazi robots/mechs in order to fight against them. From a first-person perspective, players can use the various abilities of each robot to kill enemy robots, mechs, and human soldiers. Action is highlighted by loud gunfire, explosions, electrical charges, and blood-splatter effects. Enemies usually explode when destroyed, and certain weapons cause human enemies to burst into blood and chunks of flesh. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” appear in the dialogue.

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot VR is releasing for the PlayStation 4 and PC on July 26, 2019, in the U.S. region. If you are interested, you can pre-order the physical version for the PS4 on Amazon with this link.

Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot VR is being developed by MachineGames and Arkane Studios and will be publsihed by Bethesda Softworks. On the PlayStation 4, it requires the PlayStation VR headset.
