ESRB explain its Mature rating for Death end re;Quest

The Entertainment Software Rating Board has revealed its summary for Death end re;Quest. The action role-playing game ended up with a Mature rating due to contents categorized as Blood, Strong Language, Suggestive Themes and Violence. You can find the full ESRB description below:

This is an action role-playing game in which players assume the role of a programmer involved in a mystery surrounding a fictional VR game. As player explore the VR world, they engage in turn-based combat using swords and magic spells to battle fantastical creatures (e.g., knights, giant insects, infected monsters). Combat is accompanied by impact sounds and cries of pain. Cutscenes and still-image sequences depict additional instances of violence and/or blood: a close-up image of a bloody character nailed into a beam; a bloody character repeatedly stabbed (off-screen); a character decapitated (off-screen). Game text includes graphic details of violence, including descriptions of stabbings and torture.

Some female characters wear revealing outfits, and their breasts occasionally jiggle as they move; during some battles, clothing transformations depict characters with partially exposed breasts and pelvic areas. The words “f**k” and “sh*t” are heard in the game.
