Some Amazon customers who preordered Bloodborne did not receive the videogame on time, even when they used Amazon Prime shipping. Several big forum threads regarding the late shipments have popped up over at GameFAQs, NeoGAF and Reddit communities. Those who complained to the retailer’s customer service are getting store credits and/or a free month of Amazon Prime.
The situation is especially troubling for customers who ordered Bloodborne Collector’s Edition before release. Some customers are reporting that the shipping date for the bundle has been pushed back by a month, if not longer.
Amazon may have underestimated the demand for Bloodborne, which was released on March 24. Despite being new intellectual property, the PlayStation 4 exclusive has quickly shot up the sales charts on Amazon.com and many other retailers.
The game’s success may be associated to how well it is reviewing. It currently holds a 93 Metascore at Metacritic, the highest on the PlayStation 4 if you don’t count the ports of Grand Theft Auto V and The Last of Us.
The only real issues in Bloodborne are the inconsistent frame rate and long load times. With that said, the development team at From Software has already stated that they will be fixing those problems in a future patch.
