A custom Bloodborne audio mode has been added to Headset Companion App for the PlayStation Gold Wireless and PlayStation Silver Wired Headsets (update: the PlayStation Pulse headset also got a custom profile for the game). Sony has been updated the application frequently as the company also added profiles for Destiny, DriveClub, Far Cry 4 and The Order 1886 over the past several months.
Both the PlayStation Gold and PlayStation Silver headsets support 7.1 virtual surround sound, which is great in a game like Bloodborne where you get ambushed by enemies a lot. Not to mentioned that the PS4 exclusive has a lot of horror elements that will be enhanced if you are playing with surround sound enabled. If you haven’t done so already, you can purchase either of the compatible headsets on Amazon with these next links: PlayStation Gold Wireless Stereo Headset and PlayStation Silver Wired Stereo Headset.
The above-mentioned Headset Companion App is downloadable for free on the Sony Entertainment Network Store and will be automatically updated with the new Bloodborne profile when launched.
Bloodborne is now available for the PlayStation 4. The reviews have been overwhelming positive so far, making it the highest rated exclusive release for Sony’s current-gen console. That may not be a big surprise to some as the game was developed by From Software, who previously worked on Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2. SCE Japan Studio also assisted in the development of the project.
