Blood and violence detailed for White Day: A Labyrinth Named School

The Entertainment Software Rating Board has revealed its rating summary for the PlayStation 4 version of White Day: A Labyrinth Named School. The first-person survival horror game ended up with a Teen rating due to blood and violence. You can find the full ESRB description for White Day below:

This is a first-person survival horror game in which players assume the role of a high-school student trying to escape a haunted school. As players search for tools/clues, they encounter violent spirits and janitors that roam the halls with baseball bats. If players are caught by a janitor, an animation depicts the central character getting struck with a bat, resulting in blood-splatter effects across the screen. One brief sequence shows a student getting hit several times while lying on the floor; another sequence depicts a ghost stabbing the student in the chest.

The horror game, which is being developed by Sonnori and published by PQube Limited, will be released for the PlayStation 4 home console on the 1st of August in North America in addition to the 4th of August in Europe. The western release of White Day: A Labyrinth Named School will also be coming to the PC platform sometime in the near future.
