Amazon has updated its listing for the upcoming BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma Extend to reveal the release date for the videogame. The new version of BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma is expected to come out on the 28th of July. Aksys Games stated previously that the product has a summer release time frame. So it seems like the listed date may be legit. If you haven’t already, you can preorder the fighting game from the retailer’s website with this page.
The enhanced version adds two new playable characters, Celica and Lambda. Thus, the roster has been expanded to 28. The is also a new stage called Ishana along with new story scenarios that will recap the events that occurred in the two prequels, BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift. Extend has a new story mode, which promises to be more comedic, as well.
In terms of gameplay, the Guard Gauge has been revamped to give players a choice as to when to attack or defend. You can also shatter you opponents barrier by using Guard Crush. Lastly, four new features (auto guard, combo attacks, distortion drive and special abilities) were added to the Stylish Mode, which allows beginners to enjoy the game without having to worry about pressing the right button combinations.
BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma Extend will be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
