Bandai Namco talks localization and PS4 version of J-Stars Victory VS +; new screens released

Herve Hoerdt, Vice President of IP Strategy for Bandai Namco Games Europe has left several comments regarding the western release of J-Stars Victory VS +. He first stated that it was his company’ duty as “the Number 1 and most famous publisher when it comes down to Anime/Manga video-games” to release the videogame in other regions even though there are potential licensing issues. The company has been doing a great job at localizing these niche titles in recent years after ignoring them previously.

Mr. Hoerdt also mentioned that the PlayStation 4 comes with new content. You can find his comments below this paragraph.

As the Number 1 and most famous publisher when it comes down to Anime/Manga video-games, it was our duty at BANDAI NAMCO Games to bring J-Stars Victory VS + for Western fans! Not only we are bringing this epic medley of licenses to Europe, Middle-East and Australasia, but we are also delivering it with a massive added value: a PlayStation®4 version with new content!

Bandai Namco also released several new screenshots showing off the crossover fighting game between various Shonen Jump franchises. The characters come from hit series such as Bleach, Dragon Ball, One Piece and Naruto. Check out the new screens showing off a few of the fighters below this paragraph.

Aside from the PlayStation 4, J-Stars Victory VS + is also being released on the PlayStation 3 and Vita. It has a release set for the summer season of 2015.
