Bandai Namco Games and CyberConnect2 have commented, via a press release sent to us, on the recently revelation that Obito will be playable in the upcoming Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. The two company said that they are happy to confirm that Obito (who will be fused with Zetsu) is going to be part of the game’s “massive cast” of fighters.
For the uninformed, Obito is one of the protagonist from the final Arc the 4th Great Ninja War in the Naruto manga and anime series. The companies also mentioned that players can use all of his signature moves.
Last but not least, Bandai Namco Games and CyberConnect2 teased that there will be “more surprises” before the fourth mainline Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm installment is released. Take a look at the full statement below:
BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment and CyberConnect 2 are happy to disclose that Obito (Fused with Zetsu), one of the key protagonists in the final Arc the 4th Great Ninja War, is joining STORM 4’s massive cast! Kakashi’s comrade will be playable for the first time ever in a NARUTO SHIPPUDEN game! Gamers will be able to utilize all of his signature moves in Ninja action-packed fights! The game is scheduled for release in Autumn 2015. Stay tuned for more surprises before then!
The other playable characters confirmed so far for the fighting game include Hinata Hyuga, Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha.
Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It should be released later this fall in North America and other regions. If you are interested, you can pre-order the sequel from Amazon with this page.
