GameStop has listed two new gamepads for Microsoft’s current-gen console. The Power A Xbox One Star Wars C3PO and R2-D2 Wired Controllers are officially licensed, so you won’t void the warrant of your system when you use them. The products are advertised as “sturdy” and come with a two-year warranty. You can check out the Star Wars pads below this paragraph.
As you can probably see from the smallish pictures, the Power A Xbox One controllers uses custom C3PO and R2-D2 graphics for the center plates while the Rebel Alliance symbol is plastered over the handles. The third-party units have many of the same features you expect from the official Xbox One Wireless Controller, including dual rumble motors and impulse triggers. Although it is not wireless, the Power A pad does come with 9.8 foot cord. Not to mention that you won’t need any batteries.
These may go well with the upcoming release of the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront reboot. The new game is being developed by EA Digital Illusions CE, the creator of the Battlefield series. Along with the Xbox One, Battlefront is also coming out to the PlayStation 4 console as well as the PC platform. It is expected to come out later this year, presumably around the same time as the theatrical debut of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
