A look at the box art for XCOM 2

Amazon has updated the product page for XCOM 2, revealing what appears to be the official box art for the videogame. If you are interested, you can preorder the upcoming PC title from the online retailer with this link. Take a look at the cover for the latest XCOM installment below this paragraph.XCOM 2 box art

As you can see, the box art features a bunch of human skulls stacked together to form the head of an alien. It also includes the logos of the ESRB (as the game has been rated for Teen), Firaxis Games and 2K Games. For the uninformed, Firaxis is the studio behind the development of XCOM: Enemy Within as well as the Sid Meier’s Civilization series.

In XCOM 2, players get to battle aliens in turn-based battles. The sequel will have plenty of customization options as you will be able to share your creations (which includes characters, enemies and missions) with others.

XCOM 2 was originally slated to come out in 2015 before being pushed back. The new release date is now set for the 5th of February in 2016. For now, the software product is only coming out to the PC platform although XCOM: Enemy Within was made available for the home consoles.
