Amazon Germany has put up a listing for Doom, revealing an exclusive steelbook for the videogame. You can check out the special case below this paragraph.
As you can see above, Amazon Germany’s steelbook looks different than the one that is coming with the collector’s edition of the videogame in North America, which you can check out with this link on Amazon.com.
Doom is the first new mainline installment of the series to be published by Bethesda Softworks (a company best known for the Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises) after its parent company, ZeniMax Media, purchased id Software. Bethesda did previously publish Doom 3 BFG Edition, an enhanced version of the third title.
After years of being stuck in development turmoil, the Doom reboot got a big revealing at last year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. The first-person shooter is expected to have a long single-player story campaign in addition to robust multiplayer features, including the ability to create and share maps as well as custom modes.
Doom will be released in North America, Germany and other regions on the 13th of May. Being a current-gen only title, the game will be made available on the PC platform along with Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One home consoles.
