2K Sports recently announced a limited edition for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of WWE 2K17. So is the bundle for the latest installment of the popular wrestling game series worth the investment? Before, you decide as to whether or not the WWE 2K17 NXT Edition is worth purchasing, let’s take a look at several factors.
Pricing
WWE 2K17 NXT Edition is quite a bit more expensive when compared to the standard edition. With that said, it does come with a lot more digital and physical contents. About WWE 2K17
2K Games has not revealed much about the latest WWE 2K videogame. With that said, the company did confirm that the MyCareer mode, which features NXT, will be included.
Of course, fans can also expect to see the biggest names in the wrestling company to appear. Brock Lesnar was announced to be the cover star while John Cena, Sasha Banks, Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, The Ultimate Warrior and Vince McMahon have been confirmed to be on the game’s roster of playable characters as well.
Although the NXT Edition is exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the standard edition of WWE 2K17 will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC as well.
Finn Balor Figurine
The centerpiece of the WWE 2K17 NXT Edition is the Finn Balor Figurine. The statue is based on the Demon version, where he would come out in body paint that makes him look like a demonic creature, of the popular wrestler. The detailed figure stand at eight inches in eight.
Canvas2 Canvas Lithograph
Another item included in the bundle that wrestling fans should be excited about is the Canvas2 Canvas Lithograph. This bonus not only features artwork of Shinsuke Nakamura, but also his signature as well. The famous Japanese wrestler recently joined WWE and is currently wrestling under the NXT brand.
Topps NXT Takeover London Mat Relics Card
The reason why the WWE 2K17 NXT Edition will be available in limited quantities is the Topps NXT Takeover London Mat Relics Card. This extra includes an actual piece of the ring canvas used during the NXT Takeover London special event. The cards are accompanied by photos of NXT superstars, including Bayley, Samoa Joe as well as the aforementioned Finn Balor.
NXT Enhancement Pack
Of course, the NXT Edition also comes with several in-game extras. The most notable digital bonus is the NXT Enhancement Pack. This bundle comes with Apollo Crews, Nia Jax as well as the above-mentioned Shinsuke Nakamura as unlockable characters in WWE 2K17. It is currently unknown if any of these wrestlers will be made available as DLC for owners of the Standard Edition of the game. For now, the three are exclusive to the NXT Edition.
The NXT Enhancement Pack will also give players a head start in the MyCareer mode as they will be able to earn 50 percent more points while at NXT.
Goldberg Preorder Pack
If you preorder the NXT Edition, you will also receive the Goldberg Preorder Pack. This DLC features two playable versions of Goldberg based on his appearances in WCW and WWE. Furthermore, you will also get two classic WCW arenas in WCW Monday Nitro and WCW Halloween Havoc. Similar to the NXT Enhancement Pack , it is unknown if any of the contents from the Goldberg Preorder Pack can be obtained in any other method. With that said, customers can get the same DLC bonus by reserving the Standard Edition.

If you are a big fan of NXT, especially when it comes to Finn Balor and/or Shinsuke Nakamura, then WWE 2K17 NXT Edition is definitely worth the price of admission with the detailed Demon Final Balor statue and Shinsuke Nakamura lithograph.
