If you haven’t heard already, No Man’s Sky recently got delayed until August. With that said, there are still plenty of new releases to look forward to in June of 2016. Below, you can find our top 10 list of the best new videogame releases to consider buying for the sixth month of this year.
10. Prison Architect
Already out on PC, Prison Architect is a simulation game where you get to build and manage a prison. There are multiple modes available to try out, including one where you control a prisoner who is trying to break out to captivity. So, if you don’t have access to a PC that is capable of running the game (which has gotten great review scores) you might want to pick up the upcoming console port on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

9. Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book
Sophie is the latest installment of the underrated Atelier series. In these Japanese role-playing games, your main objective is to collect ingredients to craft various items. The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book adds a new element with the day-night cycle, which affects the enemies and ingredients you find when you are out exploring. RPG fans looking for an unique experience should give the upcoming title a shot when it launches.

8. Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens features playable characters (including Captain Phasma, Finn, Han Solo, Kylo Ren, Poe Dameron and Rey) as well as locations and scenarios from the movie. Furthermore, it will also cover the gap between Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Needless to say, Star Wars fans should definitely check out the latest Lego videogame.

7. Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator
Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator is a follow-up to the overlooked Guilty Gear Xrd Sign. The latest version adds six new characters: Dizzy, Jack-O, Jam Kuradoberi, Johnny, K. Haehyun and Raven. Not to mention that several tweaks have been made to the gameplay, further balancing what is already a great fighting experience. So, if you missed out on Guilty Gear Xrd Sign and/or a fan of the fighting game genre, make sure you take a look at Revelator.

6. Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness
Integrity and Faithlessness is the fifth mainline installment of the Star Ocean series. The action-packed combat system returns and has been expanded to include up to seven party members, adding more depth to the already deep gameplay. Also coming back are private actions, which focus on short character driven stories. Thus, fans of the franchise should definitely check out the latest installment when it releases.

5. Odin Sphere Leifthrasir
Leifthrasir is an enhanced remastered port of the original Odin Sphere. Along with the improved graphics, including smoothing over the previously unstable frame rate, the development team at Vanillaware also made changes to the gameplay, which should make it a fresh experience for those who already played the PlayStation 2 version. If you are completely new to the game, then you are in for a treat with the upcoming remastered release.

4. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE
For the uninformed, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is the long awaited Japanese role-playing game that was previously known as Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem. The upcoming title combine elements from both popular series to create a unique role-playing experience set in a modern day Tokyo that has getting plenty of positive import impressions. Wii U owners looking for a new game to play should give this JRPG a shot.

3. Kirby: Planet Robobot
The latest traditional Kirby videogame is called Planet Robobot as players can know equip the popular mascot with robotic parts. Of course, there will also be plenty of old school gameplay as there over 25 different abilities, including three new ones (Doctor, ESP and Poison). Furthermore, the game also supports a four-player cooperative mode along with support for Amiibo figures. Platforming fans should not miss out on what appears to be another great installment in the series.

2. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst
After multiplayer delays, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst finally appears to be ready for launch in June. The reboot of the series will expand upon the first-person parkour gameplay from the original with an open-world setting. Furthermore, the game’s combat has been further refined while asynchronous multiplayer will be added as well. So, while it may be a long time coming, it certainly looks like the reboot will be very well worth the long wait.

The Zero Escape is one of the better series that you most likely never heard off. The games combine visual novel elements with creative escape room puzzles to create engrossing and intense experiences. The latest installment, Zero Time Dilemma, takes place between the first two games of the series and is expected to answer some of the more pressing questions with the overall plot. Needless to say, fans of the prequels (999 and Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward) should definitely check out the sequel.
Zero Time Dilemma is coming out on June 28th for the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita. The PC version will launch on June 30th.
