About God Eater 2: Rage Burst

Before we take a look into the contents of the Day One Edition, let’s talk a little bit about the game. The God Eater series plays similarly to the popular Monster Hunter games. The second mainline game originally came out for the PSP and Vita in Japan on November 14, 2013. However, Bandai Namco Games waited until the enhanced version of the sequel before deciding on a localized western release.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst adds some new elements when compared to the vanilla version. One of which is Rage Burst, which adds new content to the campaign. The other is Blood Rage, a new meter that will grant buffs and invincibility to the player after being filled up. The enhanced release also comes with new characters, enemies and weapons.

Exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions are Cross Play, which lets you play with players on the other platform, and Cross Save, which lets you share the same save files between the console and portable releases.
