Dragon Ball Xenoverse is the latest videogame to come from the popular anime and manga series. Dimps decided to change up a few elements in the latest installment, one of which is giving the player the ability to create a brand new custom character. Once created, the new protagonist will travel through time get to help Goku (and friends) during some of the biggest moments in the saga. The game also has competitive and cooperative modes in both online and offline to delve into once you are done with the campaign. Needless to say, Xenoverse is shaping up to be a must-buy for Dragon Ball fans.
If you are looking to dive deep into the world once again with the upcoming videogame, there are a few other products we recommend picking up to add more to your experience. Take a look at recommend items to buy along with Dragon Ball Xenoverse below.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse Season Pass
As with most new releases, Dragon Ball Xenoverse has several DLC packs. The first one adds the GT version Goku, GT version Trunks and Pan as playable characters along with four time patrol quests, five additional costumes, 12 regular quests and 15 special moves (including the Final Shine Attack, Power Pole combos, Spirit Bomb etc).
The second batch of downloadable content will also feature the same types of extras although nothing specific has been announced so far. For the third and final pack, gamers will get to play as Jaco, a character from Jaco the Space Patroller (which takes place in the same universe as Dragon Ball) in addition to acquiring the sunglasses, Turtle Hermit’s Shell, Turtle Hermit’s Beard and Turtle Hermit’s Aloha Shirt from the Turtle Hermit set.
While you can buy all three separately, the packs are a little cheaper if you decided to buy them in a bundled via the season pass on the Sony Entertainment Store, Xbox Store and Steam. You can also buy the pass for the PC version with this page on Amazon.
Blu-ray Recommendations
Of course, playing Dragon Ball Xenoverse may put you in a nostalgic trip to watch the Dragon Ball Z anime again (or for the first time if you haven’t already). If you want to, you can purchase season box sets from the Blu-ray releases of Dragon Ball Z as well as Dragon Ball Z Kai (a HD remastered version). We also recommend picking up Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods as it is the latest film from the series.
Dragon Ball Z Figures
Of course, if you like action figures, there are several brands we recommend checking out. The Dragon Ball Z figurines from Bandai Tamashii all look great and stay faithful to the character designs of Akira Toriyama. If you are a Funko Pop fan, there are also several characters available under that stylish brand. You can take a look at the two distinct lines of Dragon Ball Z action figures with these next Amazon links: Bandai Tamashii and Funko Pop.
