Halo 5: Guardians will be the biggest exclusive game release for the Xbox One so far. If you are planning on buying the latest videogame from the Halo franchise, there are also a few complementary products that you may want to consider getting if you want to maximize your enjoyment (especially if you are a hard core fan of the first-person shooting franchise). You can find our list of recommended add-ons for the sequel below.
Gaming Headsets
As with most first-person shooters, having a surround sound setup can really make a difference, especially if you are going to play the online multiplayer modes. Fortunately, Microsoft teamed up with Astro Gaming for, not one, but two Halo-themed gaming headsets.
The first is the A40 Headset and Mixamp M80 Halo 5 Special Edition Bundle, which is designed to match aesthetics from the Limited Edition Spartan Locke Xbox One Wireless Controller in addition to the 1TB Limited Edition Halo 5 Xbox One console. With that said, you have to pick up the MixAmp Pro as well if you want to turn the A40 from a stereo headset to a surround sound one. You can check out both products with the following links on Amazon: A40 Headset and Mixamp M80 Halo 5 Special Edition and MixAmp Pro Bundle. For better convenience, you might want to check out the A50 Halo Edition instead. This Xbox One gaming headset will support surround sound straight out of the box. It also uses the same color scheme, as well as logos, of the green armor worn by the iconic Master Chief. If you are interested, you can purchase the A50 with this page. Each of the two aforementioned headsets also comes with a REQ Pack that has a Astro Gaming in-game emblem.
Controllers
Microsoft is also extending the Master Chief and Spartan Locke designs to the Xbox One Wireless Controller. Along with the unique looks, both pads will also come with REQ Packs. The one being included in the Master Chief version will include the Dauntless Visor while the Spartan Locke version comes with the Resolute Visor.
You can check out the two controllers with the following links: Xbox One Limited Edition Halo 5: Guardians Master Chief Wireless Controller and Xbox One Limited Edition Halo 5: Guardians Spartan Locke Wireless Controller. You might want to keep in mind that the Spartan Locke Wireless Controller is the same one being included in the 1TB Limited Edition Halo 5 Xbox One console and compliments the above-mentioned A40 Headset and Mixamp M80 Halo 5 Special Edition Bundle. So, if you like matching accessories, you might want to take that into account.
System Bundle
If you are planning to buy an Xbox One for Halo 5: Guardians, then you should consider getting the 1TB Limited Edition Halo 5 Xbox One Bundle. The special system comes equipped with custom Halo sound effects when powering on, turning off and ejecting the disc. The bundle also includes a Guardian figure made by Metal Earth, voucher to download Halo: The Fall of Reach animated series, Spartan Locke’s Classified Orders documents and 12 Premium REQ Packs. If you want to unlock everything in the campaign and/or want to be the best at multiplayer, you might want to get the official strategy guide as well. The book will provide a detailed walkthrough of the massive campaign in addition to including expert tips for all the multiplayer maps and modes. Lastly, it will also help you earn all the Achievements in the game.
Hardcore Halo fans may want to check out the collector’s edition as it comes with a deluxe hardcover, bonus REQ Pack (with the in-game Prima Games emblem) in addition to the Legendary and Overkill emblems.

Halo fans may also want to check out the art book and official sound track if they like what they see and hear in the videogame. The Art of Halo 5 Guardians has more than 200 pages of art work with commentary provided by the development team at 343 Industries. The official soundtrack features two disc worth (39 tracks total) from the score of the videogame.
You can find the art book and the CD soundtrack with the following pages: The Art of Halo 5 Guardians and Halo 5: Guardians Original Soundtrack.
