2015 Holiday Shopping Guide: PS4 Wheels

While Gran Turismo Sport won’t be coming out until 2016, gamers have plenty of solid racing games to play in 2015. The notable releases include F1 2015 and Project Cars as well as the constant DLC support for DriveClub. Of course, playing these titles with the right racing wheel will make these driving experiences even better. Below, you can find our buying guide for the top PS4 wheels to purchase on Black Friday or anytime during the holiday shopping season.

Cheap PlayStation 4 Racing Wheel

If you don’t want to invest too much in a wheel, you should take a look at the Thrustmaster T80 RS. The officially licensed product has a rubberized texture grip along with a directional pad, two digital gear shift paddles and 11 action buttons. The wheel also comes with auto-resistance, central clamping system and linear resistance. The included two-pedal set provides a wide footrest and adjustable angle of inclination as well.

The only real drawbacks are the limited 270 degrees of rotation and the lack of force feedback rumble. If you don’t mind its weaknesses, you can check out the Thrustmaster T80 RS with this link on Amazon.

Medium-ranged PS4 Wheel

If you are looking for a more features-packed PS4 wheel that has medium-ranged pricing, you should check out the Thrustmaster VG T150. The product comes with a base that is capable of Immersion Touch Sense force feedback while allowing for 1080 degrees of steering. The included two-pedal unit also has a wide footrest and has customizable angle of inclination.

Thrustmaster VG T300RS

While the T8 RS is good for its price point, it pales in comparison to the more expensive alternatives. One of which is the Thrustmaster VG T300RS, which has also been officially licensed. Unlike the T8 R, this wheel does come with rumble support along with a rotation angle of up to 1080 degrees. The included two-pedal set can also be adjusted in six possible positions based on height and spacing.

Thrustmaster VG T300 Ferrari Alcantara Edition

The most expensive wheel in our recommend list is the Thrustmaster VG T300 Ferrari Alcantara Edition. The bundle includes a T300 Servo Base, which comes with the capability of force feedback rumble in addition to 900 degrees of rotation.

Also included is the Ferrari 599XX EVO detachable wheel. The replica is officially licensed by Ferrari as it uses the same hand-stitched wrapping, polyurethane molding and internal steel hoop as the real wheels.

The last major piece of the bundle is the Thrustmaster T3PA 3-Pedal Wide Pedal Set, which is made with complete metal. The break, gas and gear pedals can also be adjusted in angle, height and spacing. An optional conical rubber brake mod will allow you to adjust the resistance as well.

Logitech G29 Driving Force

Last but not least, Logitech finally released a dedicated PS4 wheel in 2015. The G29 Driving Force is built for durability thanks to the solid steel ball bearings, hand-stitched leather wheel cover in addition to stainless steel pedals and shifters. Of course, the wheel is also capable of force feedback in addition to being rotated at up to 900 degrees. The included pedal unit will let you accelerate, decelerate and shift gears as well.
