Dragon Ball FighterZ controls
Before we begin, let’s talk a little bit about how Dragon Ball FighterZ controls. The main commands of the fighting games are Light Attack, Medium Attack, Heavy Attack, Assist 1, Assist 2, Dragon Rush, Ki Charge, Sparking Blast, Super Dash and Vanish. There are also maneuvers such as Auto Combo 1, Auto Combo 2, Character Switch, Snap Back, Deflect, Guard Cancel Tag, Universal Anti-Air and Universal Overhead.

The controller, which is designed specifically for 2D fighting games, features a quality directional pad. It also uses a six face button layout: X, Square, Triangle, Circle, R1 and R2 on the PlayStation 4 in addition to A, B, X, Y, RB and RT on the Xbox One. The face buttons are larger when compared to the official PS4 and Xbox One controllers, making then easier to hit. There are also four shoulder buttons that can be utilized for Dragon Ball FighterZ as well.
Differences between the PlayStation and Xbox Fighting Commanders
Aside from the different buttons, the PlayStation and Xbox Fighting Commanders do have some different features.
The PlayStation version features a R/L toggle switch, which lets you swap the shoulder buttons. As a result, you will have access to the X, Square, Triangle, Circle, L1, L2, R1 and R2 buttons on your right hand. It also has turbo functions in addition to the ability to use the directional pad as either a left analog stick or right analog stick. The PlayStation Fighting Commander is compatible with the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC.
The Xbox One version features an assign button where you can customize your inputs. The directional pad can also be used to emulate a left analog stick. The Xbox Fighting Commander is compatible with the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
