Destiny Ghost Edition drawing complaints about damaged packaging, refunds being offered

destinyghosteditionIt seems like a lot of complaints are beginning to pile up on the damaged packaging for the Ghost Edition of Destiny. Users from active threads on NeoGAF, GameFAQs and Reddit are saying that the product is arriving with the lid portion being torn off the product during shipment from Amazon, potentially due to heavy cardstock used.

The complaints are just not just limited to Amazon either since there are also reports that Best Buy, GameStop and even Game customers are getting similar issues. Luckily, it seems like the retailers are offering partial refund for complaining customers. With that said, something most likely went wrong went wrong when manufacturing the Ghost Edition for mass distribution (using a cardboard box to store all the items probably wasn’t the brightest idea).

Destiny Ghost Edition has the game disc stored inside a limited edition steelbook case. The packaging also has a replica of the Ghost character, letter of introduction, Guardian Folio, Golden Age postcards, Golden Age relics, antique star chart, field guide to arms and armament in addition to an expansion pass for Destiny Expansion I: The Dark Below and Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves.

Destiny launched on the 9th of November. The Ghost Edition was made available for all platforms: Playstation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
