First 4 Figures Sword Kirby Statue gets U.S. release date

Amazon has updated its listing for the Sword Kirby Statue, revealing its release date. The figure is expected to be made available on the 13th of May. You can preorder the latest product from First 4 Figures, if you are interested, with this page on the retailer’s website. You can also take a look at the picture located underneath this paragraph. The Sword Kirby Statue is the first in a series of products being planned by First 4 Figures for the Kirby videogames. For this one, the company used polystone resin to construct the shape and then hand painted on the colors. The statue stands at an impressive 16 inches tall when you take into account the sword. Nintendo recently released Kirby and the Rainbow Curse for the Nintendo Wii U. However, it was not a traditional Kirby game as you don’t have direct control over the ability-copying mascot. Instead, you use the stylus of the Wii U Gamepad in order to guide the hero through numerous levels. The Wii U exclusive also uses a somewhat unique clay-like esthetic instead of what you traditionally see in the previous installments of the platforming series.
