The Elder Scrolls Online first launched for the PC on April 4, 2014. The game initially requires a monthly fee although it has now been eliminated as new players can simply buy the software and play at no additional costs as long as the servers remain up. With that said, subscribers do get several bonuses, including being able to access to expansions at no additional costs.
The console version, which is named The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, will be released by Bethesda Softworks for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One current-gen consoles on the 9th of June after suffering a lengthy delay.
