Sexual themes, use of alcohol and more detailed for Valkyria Revolution

The Entertainment Software Rating Board has revealed its rating summary for Valkyria Revolution. The spin-off of the Valkyria Chronicles series ended up with a Teen rating due to blood, language, sexual themes, use of alcohol and violence. You can find the full ESRB description below:

This is an action/role-playing game in which players control soldiers involved in a conflict between two fictional kingdoms. Characters engage in combat missions and use swords, guns, grenades, and magic attacks to defeat soldiers and boss characters. Some attacks result in small splashes of blood; cutscenes occasionally depict larger splashes of blood, as when a character is impaled on a sword or slashed. Battles are highlighted by realistic gunfire, cries of pain, and explosions.

The game includes some sexual material in the dialogue: “She was a real nympho, that one. She was one hell of a sl*t”; “Be it the bouncing of buxom bosoms or the subtle splendor of smaller sets”; “…a woman’s beauty presents itself fully in her rear!” Several scenes depict characters drunk/hung over and/or talking about alcohol (e.g.,“I haven’t had enough to drink yet! Alcohol! Bring on the alcohol!”). The words “sh*t” and “a*shole” appear in dialogue.

You can preorder Valkyria Revolution, which is coming out on June 27th in North America for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with this link from Amazon.
