It seems like PlatinumGames created another great game, at least according to The Legend of Korra creators. Bryan Konietzko, Mike DiMartino and Yaacov Barselah are giving plenty of praise to the studio over The Legend of Korra video game in a press release sent to us.
Bryan Konietzko, co-director and executive producer of the animated series, said that a lot of the hardcore gamers were excited that Activision decided to work with Platinum in the project. He thinks that the video game was able to faithfully recreate the spirit of Avatar: The Last Airbender while being fur to play at the same time:
All of the hardcore gamers on the Korra crew jumped when they heard Activision had lined up PlatinumGames to develop the video game, and Mike and I are incredibly pleased with how it faithfully and affectionately captures the look and spirit of the Avatar-verse and its characters. On top of that achievement, it’s a ton of fun to play and we can’t wait for the fans to experience Korra in a whole new way.
Mike DiMartino, the other co-director and executive producer of the TV show, also thought that The Legend of Korra game looks great while stating that the studio stayed true to the Avatar series in terms of gameplay as well as visuals:
I couldn’t be more pleased with how great the Korra video game looks. Both the cut scenes and all the amazing environments and gameplay by PlatinumGames look true to the show and the world.
Lastly, Yaacov Barselah, the vice president of Nintendo’s Games & Digital Publishing New Business, added that it was a thrill to team up with Activision to create a video game worth of the Korra character:

The Legend of Korra video game is now available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC. The same game is coming out tomorrow on the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
