As you can probably see, the book uses a hexagonal format to pay homage to the blocks in the videogame. It is written by Alex Wiltshire a former editor over at Edge Magazine. The 312 pages contain details on each plant, ore and other types of blocks (including the new ones that were added with the 1.8 update this past September). In addition to a general overview of each item, the Blockopedia will also provide some did-you-know trivia along with tips on how to use them. You can take a look at the description of the content from the Amazon listing below:

Written by Alex Wiltshire, former editor of Edge Magazine and expert gamer, Blockopedia is fully illustrated and packed with essential information about each Minecraft block.  Encyclopedic in its approach, each block is featured with a general overview of its properties, as well as little-known trivia and expert advice on what to do with it.  From basic plants and ores to enchantment tables and End stone, you’ll find every single block in here, including information on the new blocks released in the eagerly anticipated 1.8 game update.

Minecraft: Blockopedia is coming out on the 24th of February in the United States. The videogame itself has appeared on numerous platforms throughout the years. Along with the PC, Minecraft is also a big hit on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Vita and mobiles.
