Hori Fighting Commander 5 fight pad released for PS4, PS3 and PC in North America

HORI Fighting Commander 1The fifth version of the Fighting Commander has been released in the North American region. If you are interested, you can buy the latest fight pad from Hori with this link on Amazon.

The product, which has been officially licensed by Sony, is designed mainly for 2D fighting games as it comes with a six face button layout along with being entirely focused on the directional pad for movement (as it does not include the left and right analog sticks). The other notable features include a R/L toggle switch (which gives you access to all eight action buttons with just your right hand), turbo functionality along with being able to emulate the left or right analog stick with the D-Pad.

In addition to the PlayStation 4, the Hori Fighting Commander 5 is also compatible with the PlayStation 3 and is directly supported on the PC (the Hori Fighting Commander 4 requires a work around). It uses a wired USB connection via a 10-foot cable.

So, if you are a fan of 2D fighters (especially games like BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator, Mortal Kombat X, Street Fighter V and The King of Fighters XIV), you might want to take a look at the new fight pad from Hori.
