First look at the Toad and Zero Suit Samus Wii U Fight Pad Controllers

GameStop has provided a first look at the upcoming Toad and Zero Suit Samus Wii U Fight Pad Controllers. You can check out the two new versions of the third-party gamepad below this paragraph. If you haven’t heard already, the Wii U Fight Pad Controllers are manufactured by PDP and officially licensed by Nintendo. The third-party pad is shaped just like the Gamecube controller with some minor differences. For instance, the right C-stick has been replaced by a regular analog stick. An extra shoulder button was also added.

Although the Wii U Fight Pad was mainly designed for use with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, you can also use it with games that support the Classic Controller and Classic Controller Pro in addition to compatible Virtual Console releases. With that said, the product needs to be plugged into the Wii Remote in order to function with the Wii U.

GameStop is listing a release date on September 15th in the North American region for the Toad and Zero Suit Samus versions in addition to the recently-revealed 30th Anniversary Mario edition. PDP already released several other variants of the same controller late last year.
