As you may have expected, the manga is based on the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 videogame. The English translated version will retain the Soji Seta name for the main character even though he is known as Yu Narukami in the Persona 4 anime and games.
For those unfamiliar with the plot, the antagonist is rgw new kid in a small town. Certain events occurred that will eventually lead to him teaming up with his friends to traverse a mysterious television dimension in order to solve a series of murders. Persona 4 Volume 1 will be released on the 13th of October.
The manga won’t be the only major release for Persona 4 this year as Atlus is planning to launch Persona 4: Dancing All Night for the PlayStation Vita on the 29th of September in the North American region. The music-rhythm spin-off takes place after the events of the main game.
