Deus Ex: Mankind Divided director talks new game plus and connections to Human Revolution

dxmd_2015_06_12_e3_screen_online_005GameTrailers recently interviewed Jean-Francois Dugas about Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, revealing more details on the upcoming action RPG, during their E3 2015 live stream coverage. The director first admitted that the studio did not really plan ahead of Deus Ex: Human Revolution as his studio’s future was really up in the air at that point in time. As a result, the endings from the first game won’t have any effect on the second one. With that said, he also considered that each of the main epilogues from Human Revolution to be canon as all four have some “truths” and “rumors.”

Jean-Francois Dugas also mentioned that newcomers to the series will be able to jump right into Deus Ex: Mankind Divided without having to play the first game. This is because the story from the sequel is being built as a standalone experience. Even so, gamers will be able to view a video summary of Deus Ex: Human Revolution at the beginning of the sequel.

Last but not least, the director also confirmed that there will be a new game plus mode in the upcoming game.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is expected to come out sometime during the first half of 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. If you are interested, you can preorder the newest Deus Ex installment with this page on Amazon.
