Nintendo previously released the Inkling Boy, Inkling Girl and Inkling Squid Amiibos when Splatoon came out last year in the North American region. The game, as well as figures, became so successful that the company decided to launch a second wave.
Splatoon is a third-person shooter where players get to control kids with the ability to turn into squids and shoot ink. Along with a single-player campaign, there are also online multiplayer modes where two teams compete against each other.
