Blood, gore and more detailed for Batman: The Enemy Within

The Entertainment Software Rating Board has revealed its summary for Batman: The Enemy Within. The adventure game ended up with a M (for Mature) rating due to blood, gore, mild language and violence. This is an action game, based on the Batman universe, in which players assume the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman as he battles villains in Gotham City. Players can engage in various action sequences that require timed button presses to successfully punch, kick, and incapacitate enemy thugs and villains; blood is frequently shown as characters are injured.

Cutscenes depict additional acts of violence: characters inside a chamber killed by machinery; fingers cut off by saw blades. In one interrogation sequence, players can repeatedly batter a prisoner for information. The word “pr*ck” appears in the dialogue.

The first episode of Batman: The Enemy Within, titled The Enigma, is out now in North America. The four remaining episodes will be released in a later date. There is also a season pass disc version, which will be released on the October 3rd in North America.
