The official novel is published by Titan Books and written by Marv Wolfman, who has previous worked on Crisis on Infinite Earths, Epic Mickey 2, Superman Returns, The New Teen Titans, The Amazing Spider-Man and Tomb of Dracula.

The book covers the events that occurred in the recently-released videogame, which concludes the Batman Arkham trilogy that was developed by Rocksteady Studios. Arkham Knight was released on the 23rd of June on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles in addition to the PC platform. However, the computer version was broken at launch and sales have been suspended.
