Bandai Namco’s Herve Hoerdt talks about the western release of Godzilla: The Game on PS4 and PS3

Godzilla-the-game-ps4-ps3-2Herve Hoerdt, the Vice President of IP Strategy at Bandai Namco Games Europe, has left a comment about the western release of Godzilla: The Game on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. In a press release sent to us, he praised the brand for being one of the most popular Japanese exports that have entertained the western audience for many generations.

Mr. Hoerdt went on to say that they are happy to continue the tradition of bringing Godzilla products to the west with the new videogame. Last but not least, he also added that fans should start counting down to the new game:

Godzilla has had a long history and is one of Japan’s most famous and massive pop culture exports that have entertained millions of people for generations in the West! We’re happy to continue this great history by bringing the GODZILLA videogame for PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3 to fans in our territories. Let the countdown to rampage and larger-than-life battles begin!

Godzilla: The Game was first announced for the west with a trailer during The Game Awards. It was revealed initially in Japan as a PlayStation 3 exclusive before Bandai Namco confirmed that it will ported to the PlayStation 4 as well. The game is slated for a summer launch in 2015.
